Mike Smith
President
A professional speaker and leadership trainer for the past 20 years, Mike has taken his fast-paced, dynamic interactive presentations to over two million parents, educators, and students in the United States and Canada. He is a regular contributor to Leadership for Student Activities magazine, and was one of the founders of the National Association of Student Activity Advisers. An advocate of student leadership development through co-curricular activities, Mike helped organize the Alliance for Student Activities in 2007.
Mike is also the president of DifferenceMakers, Ltd. - a company that provides speakers, seminars and motivational products to educational organizations throughout North America. Though Mike's office is based in Albuquerque, NM, he lives in Tustin, CA.

Lyn Fiscus
Vice-President
Lyn is a former leadership teacher, student activities advisor, and editor of Leadership for Student Activities magazine. She currently manages Leadership Logistics, a company she founded in 2004, which provides writing, editing, training, and consulting services to support positive youth development. Her clients include FCCLA, DECA, NASSP, TSA, NMSA, and Herff Jones. She is the author of Adviser’s Guide to Student Activities (2004) and co-author of The Bucks $tart Here: Fundraising for Student Activities (2007), and has been instrumental in the founding of the Alliance for Student Activities. In 2005, she was the national recipient of the Earl Reum Award, given by the National Association of Workshop Directors in recognition of outstanding leadership and commitment to the promotion of excellence in student activities.
Before becoming editor of Leadership for Student Activities, which she edited from 1995 to 2007, Lyn taught at the high school level in the St. Louis area for 12 years and worked with a variety of student groups including student council, yearbook, newspaper, SADD, TREND, pep club, cheerleaders, and American Youth Foundation (AYF) Leadership Compact. She served as assistant director of the Missouri Association of Student Councils (MASC) summer leadership workshop, represented the St. Louis area on the MASC Executive Board for six years, and served on staff of NASSP's National Leadership Camps, eventually becoming co-director of the NLC in New York. In addition, she served as a staff member of AYF's International Leadership Camp for four years, is a former executive board member of the National Association of Student Activity Advisers, and is a frequent presenter at student activities conferences. Lyn holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Master of Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She resides in Reston, Virginia, with her husband, David Cordts, and their two children, Robby and Alaina.

Ann Postlewaite
Secretary
Ann has been a Student Council advisor for the past 19 years. She has also served as a National Honor Society (NHS) and Spanish Club advisor.
She currenly serves as the Director of Student Leadership for the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP).
In December of 2007, Ann and her colleagues from the Minnesota Association of Student Councils will host the National Association of Workshop Directors annual winter meeting, bringing together activity advisors from all over North America for a weekend of training, inspiration, and camaraderie.

John Glimco
Treasurer
John is the Assistant Regional Superintendent for DuPage County, IL, located in the suburbs of Chicago. He has been a building principal at West Aurora High School, an Assistant Principal at Neuqua Valley High School, and the Director of Student Activities at Lyons Township High School. He has been active on the Board of Illinois Directors of Student Activities, serving in a variety of capacities, including President. He was recognized by the organization as Illinois Activity Director of the Year.
John has chaired such local organizations as KidsMatter, Committee on Youth, and various other student centered programs. He has also worked as a swimming coach for numerous years, and continues to stay involved in the community through his children. He and his wife Becky live with their five children in Naperville, IL.
